FixedFloat update

The long-awaited FixedFloat update took place this week! Our design team has done a great job: the site design has become modern, the order page is more convenient and informative, and the personal account is now even easier to use. This is a long-awaited event for our team, but we will not stop there. We will continue to delight our users by adding new currencies and improving functionality.

ETH can be a security

SEC Chairman Gary Gensler hinted in an interview with New York Magazine that Ethereum can be regarded as a security. Gensler believes that all cryptocurrencies except Bitcoin have their creators-entrepreneurs, in whose interests they promote their currencies and attract investors who profit through the efforts of intermediaries. This fact, according to the chairman of the SEC, allows us to call Ethereum a security. In 2021, he expressed a similar opinion towards stablecoins.

Edge Wallet Users Affected by Vulnerability

Edge, a multi-currency mobile crypto wallet, has suffered a major security breach: an attacker gained access to 2,000 private keys and stole users' coins. On February 20, after a user reported an unauthorized transaction from his wallet, Edge discovered that his non-custodial wallet, running on a decentralized server architecture, had been hacked. Although the user reported that his BTC coins were stolen during the transaction, his other assets remained intact. Edge concluded that the attacker did not log into the account to commit the theft, but instead gained access to the user's master private key for their BTC wallet. On February 22, Edge released an update (v3.3.1) that fixed the vulnerability.

The attack on the Edge Wallet is yet another disturbing reminder to cryptocurrency users to take responsibility for storing their coins. To minimize losses in such a situation, experts recommend not storing all your savings in one wallet or on one exchange. It is safer to split coins into multiple wallets.

Arbitrum Network Has More Transactions Than Ethereum

Arbitrum processed 1,100,333 transactions on Tuesday while Ethereum processed 1,084,290 transactions. Sandeep Nailwal, co-founder of Polygon, which plans to release its zkEVM scaling solution on March 27, congratulated Arbitrum on the achievement. Arbitrum has also reached a new record number of active addresses. There were 120,535 active addresses on the Layer 2 network on Tuesday.

Bitcoin continues to try to break through $25,000

BTC's positive momentum continued this week, but failed to break above $25,000. Thanks to the positive reaction from investors, BTC has strengthened above its yearly high. With macro conditions clearly improving and investor confidence in the crypto industry recovering, the most well-known cryptocurrency on the market appears to be poised for a bullish continuation in the coming weeks.

Google Cloud will become a validator in the Tezos network

Google Cloud has announced a partnership with Tezos, a Web3 decentralized company that aims to make it easier for Google customers to build and maintain services on top of the Tezos blockchain. The company will become a validator on the Tezos network, allowing it to be part of the system and contribute to its operation.

The partnership includes bringing the Tezos blockchain to the Google Cloud platform, making it easier for companies and developers who build and maintain apps on top of Tezos. This integrates Tezos as another network that Google Cloud customers can access, along with other blockchain projects such as Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Dash, Litecoin, and Polygon.

Reddit co-founder bought 50,000 ETH

The co-founder of social media website Reddit, Alexis Ohanian, bought 50,000 ether (ETH) for just $15,000 during the cryptocurrency pre-sale in 2014 for just 33.3 cents per coin. At current prices, this investment is worth a whopping $82.5 million, a 549,589% increase, according to CoinMarketCap. In August 2021, about a year after leaving Reddit, Ohanian spent what would be $550,000 worth of ETH coins today on seven NFTs.

Satoshi Nakamoto introduced the Bitcoin logo 13 years ago

13 years ago, Satoshi Nakamoto shared the Bitcoin logo on the forum. It became a replacement for the first version of the logo, which looked like a gold-colored circle with the letters "BC" in the center.

On February 24, 2010, elements were added to the golden circle and only the "₿" symbol remained. In November 2010, Bitcoin received its final, globally recognized form, the "₿" symbol, colored white and tilted clockwise by 14% inside an orange circle.
